In this introductory course, North Bay Met students will learn about human anatomy and physiology, health psychology and behavior, CPR and injury prevention, health assessments, training methodologies and ethical decision making in health care occupations. Activities in this course include work-based learning opportunities that connects students to the industry and the local community. Exploratory courses provide the foundational concepts in which students can begin to form future career choices that meet their individual career interest.

This concentrator course fro North Bay Met students is designed to provide students specific content knowledge with industry skills and leadership development within the Patient Care pathway. This course introduces students to medical terminology as used through the study of human anatomy and physiology and related areas while integrating with the Patient Care Health Pathway standards. Students will investigate the various pathologies of each human system and also explore the diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and medications relevant to each system. Learning will be enhanced through the use of laboratory activities, research, and case studies. Activities in this course include work-based learning opportunities that connects student to industry and the local community.

This capstone course for North Bay Met students will review the skills and education required to provide therapeutic services within the field of sports medicine. Students will learn basic anatomy and physiology of the human body, injury evaluation, sports therapy modalities including taping, wrapping, protective bracing, equipment fitting, follow up care and use of equipment and techniques to aid in patients' rehabilitation. Activities in this course include work-based learning opportunities that connects student to industry and the local community.
